It feels like we’ve been here before, doesn’t it? Only a few weeks after an excruciating wait between The Winter King Episode 2 and Episode 3, fans of the adaptation of Bernard Cornwell‘s The Warlord Chronicles once again find themselves with a missing installment. So, when will The Winter King Episode 6 be back on MGM+?
Don’t worry, you don’t have long to wait.
When will The Winter King Episode 6 be back on MGM+?
The Winter King Episode 6 will air on October 8, 2023, at the usual time and place.
The delay has been common knowledge for a while, which is why we included it in our preview of the episode last week. However, these things do tend to slip through the cracks.

It’s also fair to say that MGM+ hasn’t exactly been consistent with the schedule. After the debacle surrounding the third episode, which was originally slated for September 17 but was moved up to September 10 in lieu of a planned rerun of the first two episodes, the show — which is proving very popular — settled into a nice rhythm with Episode 4 and Episode 5.
So, you’ve got a week to wait. The good news, though, is that at 9 pm ET/PT on October 1, MGM+ is running a marathon of the first five episodes back to back, so you can get your fix that way if you’re so inclined.

What might the next episode be about?

The fifth episode of The Winter King was, as usual, quite the eventful affair. Arthur found a Saxon spy in the woods, Prince Tristan of Kernow challenged Owain after his murder of the miners in the previous episode, Morgan made a human sacrifice, Nimue carried out her own abortion, and Arthur killed his best friend Owain in a duel. Phew!

It stands to reason, then, that the sixth episode will pick up from all of these subplots. Arthur’s killing of Owain may earn him some friends — including Prince Tristan — but also make others potentially skeptical of him. After all, if he’s willing to kill his best mate, what might he do to someone he doesn’t like?
Morgan will have to grapple with the visions she experienced of Mordred’s future during the human sacrifice, which thus far she has decided to keep a secret from Arthur. Merlin will also probably continue to manipulate Nimue by framing everything she experiences as the will of the Gods. We know that Merlin’s ultimate objective is to kill Mordred, so that has to be in the back of his mind, whatever he’s pretending to be up to.

Thoroughly frustrated with their unpredictable airings!!! Fuming mad actually. If it wasn’t so good I would stop watching it. I do think however it’s best for me to disconnect from this show because these producers are playing with my emotions…im done looking for this show and it’s not coming for a whole nother week..

Just ruined my birthday damn it
When I click on The Winter King it says it will air October 1st 9/8c with a yellow bar that says Got It. I have been clicking all day Sunday and then after 6 PM West Coast Time. It is 11:55 PM and the information is still up there. I am beyond pissed that it will not be on until October 8th. I have spent the evening checking my credit card payment and my Amazon Channels to see what was up not finding any information about an episode 6 delay of a week!
My fav must see show!!!!!!???????? sad we gotta wait tho. And ITS WORTH THE WAIT. I luv U Iian/Arthur and Stuart/Derfel????
